For cat lovers only

Actually I don't why I've entitled this post 'for cat lovers only'.  Surely everyone has realised by now that the internet's sole purpose is the distribution of cute cat photos.  If you don't like cats you really have no business using a computer.

I was on Twitter this morning (never let it be said I am frittering away my time) and came across this helpful chart on cat petting.

I can endorse the findings of this chart and have the scratches to prove it
The tweeter is Tom Cox, whose blog I follow.  For those (surely everbody) who'd like to see another cat picture I reccomend this post in particular.

I am now off to do Something Worthwhile.  Like eat crumpets (it's still freezing here).

  2. mmm not sure...what about the bit where "nope" joins "meh" at the base of the tail? + some cats love having their "Fuck You" rubbed - if you're brave enough to avoid the snaggly bits ;0)

    1. Your objections are valid. I suggest we undertake a serious research project. We will need to find funding, not least for the stainless steel gauntlets.

    2. Yes a great idea! A furry glove, some gumption and a tub of elbow grease should suffice

  3. I agree that some cats like their 'fuck you' rubbed, although I would be very wary to try it unless I knew the cat well. But somebody needs to fill me in on what 'meh' means so that I can get the full educational experience. Not a local term in Mordialloc, Australia :-)

Btw our devilish old cat used to entrap the neighbour by rolling on his back on the neighbour's path, looking winsome and seemingly begging for a tummy rub. Our neighbour fell for it every time, despite the sudden attack when he bent down to stroke.

    1. Hi Judy

I think 'meh' means something like 'I can take it or leave it but I'd probably rather leave it'. Although I'm happy to be corrected on that.

Your devilish old cat sounds much like my childhood mog Tash (also known as Hank the Tank). I loved him even though he was vicious and and at best his opinion of me was 'meh'.
